October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also referred to as “Pinktober.” It is an annual international health campaign every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds to research its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure. According to thebreastcancer.org, in the US, approximately 1 in 9 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. With those statistics, as individuals we will unfortunately know someone close to us (or multiple people) during our lifetime that will fall victim to breast cancer. And as we’ve seen the jiu-jitsu community come together to share awareness on important topics, this is no different.
So in support of Pinktober, A&P will be dropping Batch 39 AWARENESS, a project dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
All profits from our General Sale will be donated to a breast cancer charity.
The kimono top is made of 450 GSM pearl weave fabric and the pants of 10 oz canvas. The A&P mark logo is featured on the right sleeve of the jacket. Along with that is the maze letter patch on the left shoulder reading 'AWARENESS' as with the right hip of the pants. Lastly is a pink ribbon patch on the left shin of the pants to honor breast cancer awareness. The Kimono is now available online until SOLD OUT. Retail is $200+ (not including tax and shipping).
